Where it came from

Swedish influencer Saskia Cort went viral in 2023 after asking her followers to ask the men in their lives how often they think about the Roman Empire. The question spread fast, racking up over a billion views on TikTok within weeks, and “my Roman Empire” became general shorthand for any fixation.
